Set Windows Explorer Default Size and Position in Vista

Alight, I’ve seen way too many posts where people propose hacky ways of setting the default size and location of Windows Explorer in Vista. They include altering shortcuts and even editing the registry. Once you know how to set the defaults, it is really easy:

Hold down CTRL and close the window.

Wow, wasn’t that easy. I credit JTB World with the original solution, but given the pervasiveness of crappy solutions in web search, I decided to add an additional post to the mix.

Yeah, I unfortunately find that I have to reset it every now and again.

Hold down [Alt] and close the window – not the [CTRL] key.
